I mean, my groups almost never wipe and this is due to my experience tanking as a druid, but holy crap do I have to work extra extra hard just to keep the run smooth as possible and even then, its still me running all over the place using every ability at my disposal as much as possible. IDK if blizzard changed something cause they feel since druid tanks could have a pally in their group to get salv so they nerfed druid threat or something, but alot of groups I have don’t have a pally. 2% threat to gloves and all the standard tank talents and people are still pilling. Usually, a fair amount of time to get some threat for a tank is 3 seconds and 5 is being super generous, mangle is a 6cd…ur only going to get 2 mangles off if they give u generous time… im demoing, swiping, mangling, tab targetting lacerates while throwing in swipes mangling and mauling and something is still getting pulled. Instead, many people just abbreviate it to a single-syllable word (dups/deeps), which cannot be done with 'DD,' and thereby demonstrates the relative ease of pronounciation of the former. Someone will typically pull off 2-3 seconds after they start dpsing. 'DPS' is easier to say because it does not repeat a soft ending sound. Granted they too have some prebis and bis items, but so do I. But now I got tons of prebis and a few Bis pieces like Earthwarden, etc, and I am playing with guildies who do give time to generate threat on multiple enemies and people are still pulling off of me constantly. At first I thought it was because I just had “blasters” while leveling. It does appear Druid threat is just all over the place. Haven’t played since after mist and I’ve played druid tank since Vanilla and main tanked raids since Vanilla. I’ve get years upon years of druid tanking experience and I don’t play retail.
